HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The Federal College of Forest Resources Management under the auspices of Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN), Federal Ministry of Environment was established and signed into law in August, 2018 by an act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The College was mandated to train middle level manpower in Forestry and environmental related disciplines for the sustenance and development of Forestry and Agriculture in Nigeria. Consequently, the College awards National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificateswhich are regulated by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). The HND graduates will be duly mobilized for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The College which was initially located in Sakponba, was moved to Fugar both in Edo State.
