HISTORIC AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Gambo Dauda, FCIA born on the 3rd of March, 1975, in Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, Borno State, attended Kirisama Primary school in the early 1980’s, and finished in 1988. He was admitted into Government College Maiduguri, from 1988 to 1993. He gained admission into the University of Maiduguri, to read Bachelor of Art Degree (BA. History) from 1995 to 1999. He did his Youth Service at Auchi, Edo State, in the year 2000. He went back to the University of Maiduguri, and obtained a Master Degree (M.A. International History and Diplomacy) in 2008. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration, Nigeria. (CIA)
WORKING EXPERIENCE, AND MEMBERSHIP OF AD-HOC COMMITTEES
Employed in 1999 as a front desk officer at Ayodele Computers, in Maiduguri. In the year 2007, he was employed by the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Environment, as an Administrative Officer II, and rose through the ranks to become Registrar, Federal College of Wildlife Management, New Bussa, Niger State. He was posted to Abuja office of Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, as the Institute’s Liaison officer, and served from the 28th April, 2023 to 22nd January, 2025. He is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative services, including, staff organization and discipline, budget and financial management, preparing of schedules of duties of officers. He coordinates all activities of the Institute in Abuja. He Liaises with Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and private organizations, on matters relating to Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Environment. He represents the Director General, FRIN at every of such meetings. He conveys all directives and decisions of the Director General to the Provosts of FRIN Colleges, and Heads of FRIN research Outstations. He further arranges and conveys all meetings sanctioned by the Director General, as well as coverage of such meetings including the provision of secretariat services. He clears all official matters, as well as the preparation of Executive summaries on official issues for the Director General.
He was redeployed to Federal College of Forest Resources Management, Fugar, Edo State, as the Registrar, on the 22nd of January, 2025. In 2011, he was appointed as the Secretary, FRIN website committee, saddled with the responsibility of designing, developing, and launching of a functioning website for the Institute. Regular updating of the website; calling for meeting of the committee on monthly basis, or, at an emergency level, as the need may arise from time to time. In 2012, he was appointed as a Management member, FRIN Consultancy services, a limited liability company of the Institute, saddle with revenue generation for the Institute. Management member/Secretary, Federal College of Wildlife Management, New Bussa, Niger State. In 2014, he was appointed as the Institute’s Pension Desk Officer, in charge of the Defined Benefit Scheme, and the Contributory Pension Scheme. In 2016, he was appointed the Institute’s Transport Officer, in charge of all Vehicles of the Institute.
TRAINING AND HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT
In 2007, he attended a Workshop on information and communication technology organized by Education Trust Fund (ETF) at the computer Center of University of Maiduguri, Borno State. In 2008, he attended a Workshop on Internet Exploring, organized by the computer and information unit University of Maiduguri, Borno State. In 2008, he attended a Workshop on Local Government Administration in Nigeria, organized by the Department of Political Science and Administration of university of Maiduguri, Borno State. In 2010, he attended a Workshop on poverty Eradication in Nigeria, organized by Federal Ministry of Information, Maiduguri, Borno State. In 2011, he attended a Workshop on ICT organized by Agricultural and Rural Managemet Training Institute (ARMTI) Ilorin, Kwara state.
